
Philosophers of the Arabs

The site is constituted of a few main pages which serve to realize the previously mentioned targets, under which lower level pages are devoted for divisions of the object of the page.
A. The first page is devoted to presentation of modern and contemporary Arabic thought. This includes introduction of the works and thoughts of major names of Modern Arabic thought, as well as contemporary eminent Arabic philosophers, and introducing a list of well known Arabic philosophy professors and their philosophical interest, in addition to a list of the Arabic philosophical societies. A specific list is also devoted to non Arab thinkers, Islamic and Orientalists, who present their thought within the Arab/Islamic view to the world.
B. The second page is devoted to presenting online Arabic as well non-Arabic philosophy papers translated to and from Arabic. The choice of these papers is based on fostering the targets of the site, which is enhancing communication and knowledge of contemporary Arabic thought, on one hand, and Western and human contemporary thought, on the other. With the continual addition to these works, it will serve, from one side, as a reference for knowing Arabic thought, and from the other side, as a source for philosophy Arabic graduate students to cope with contemporary trends of human as well as Western thought.
C. The third page is devoted to Arabic philosophical discourse, in particular, and Arabic-non Arabic philosophical discourse in general. Several main philosophical topics is chosen and a list of articles and dialogues will be listed in each topic.
D. The fourth page is reserved for keeping the Arabic philosophical arena informed with important philosophical news in the world. In addition to presenting news of the Arabic philosophy for non-Arabic speaking philosophers.
E. The last page is devoted for supporting the Arabic philosophical research activities. Hence, directories of philosophical books and magazines on the internet, major philosophical magazines, and important philosophical sites on the net is presented and periodically updated. In the future a dictionary of important and newly introduced philosophical terms will be gradually built. In addition it is intended to offer the service of searching for research papers on a specific topic, as well as making it available for the researcher through suitable arrangements.
